Our Story

From the way they let us engage with all our senses, to the way they can bring up a memory or remind us of a loved one. Flowers make us feel loved and appreciated. At their deepest level, they remind us of all the beauty the world has to offer. 

Living in the city, we found ourselves looking for small opportunities to connect with nature. One way we'd do this was to buy ourselves flowers.

When we realized the many issues with imported cut flowers – grown using harsh chemicals and unethical labour, and transported from thousands of miles away – those pretty pick-me-up bouquets from the grocery store started to feel a lot heavier.

We wanted a different way to grow flowers; one that would be healthy for the flowers, the soil, and ourselves. A way that would embrace seasonality and offer a sense of place. 

So that’s what we’re building. We’re in our first year of growing flowers in our own backyards. We’re starting small, but our journey is just beginning. Connect with us on social media to follow along!
